The Power-Posing Chameleon and Her Body Language Guru...

I said yes...

To a chance to change lives and make a difference in the world – to help people feel happier and more confident through learning the use of body language.

I jumped at the opportunity for a career I’d love because I hadn’t found that yet; at the chance to finally have financial freedom when I always felt bogged down by bills; at a flexible schedule that would allow me to travel and teach others, when I felt stagnant in life, with very little purpose.

I subscribed to the promises of a guru who said she’d teach me groundbreaking science and support me in building my business as a body language trainer – a business that, in the first few months, would generate well over the $5,000 I invested (by taking out a personal loan.)

I agreed to be part of an elite group of like-minded people, to a small and chosen inner circle of badasses, when I had almost no positive friends and influences in my life, and felt like a nobody.

I said yes to efficient marketing tactics…to empty promises and lies.

But…

When I entered the group of said elite, successful people, I instantly felt underwhelmed. Was I the only one who had obsessively studied body language and human lie detection up to that point?

I thought we were all supposed to be well-versed, just on our way to being expert coaches through this cutting-edge training program. In reality, anyone willing to fork up $5k or more had been accepted.

And when I started going through the courses, I already knew most of the “groundbreaking” science (pseudoscience) that Lil’ Miss Guru was teaching. We’d read all the same books! And where was this hyped up research lab of hers!?

Instead, I discovered there was just a lab-coat-clad woman making $5,000-6,000 off people who were lost in their existing careers or clambering at the chance for a new one, and then expecting $1,000 each year thereafter to renew her bogus certification!

Instead, I found a woman who scammed people in order to make money and gain narcissistic supply through our compliments and worship of her as our mentor, as a guru of these so-called revolutionary and essential skills.

When renewal time came and the other trainers and I started talking, really talking about the course, we all realized we’d simply been sold the idea of something that was just not real.

There was no science. There was no success! We were duped and sold an unrealistic dream.

The majority of us never made the program cost back – actually, it took me three years to pay off the loan. Those (like myself) who asked, never got a refund either.

But, I suppose it was our fault for not giving enough hustle and heart, huh?

Nah. It was yours...for creating the scam that we trusted and bought into; that we lost time and money to!

But thankfully we were no longer left feeling crazy and alone in the aftermath. In the end, we did find camaraderie and built friendships, but not through your training program…through being survivors of your game.

And now…

I look at the course literature that sold me on your program and see so many giant red flags waving in front of me. I see what 26-year-old me was completely blind to — what so many others in the world are blind to when it comes to self-proclaimed gurus like you.

And now it’s my personal mission to help make it so others may never fall prey to such a scam or commercial cult again.

And so it begins…
Happiness is an inside job!

Don't let some body language expert tell you they can make you more happy and confident by teaching you to harness your awesome, inner-badass with nonverbal knowhow.

We're born with the natural ability to read nonverbal cues! You can certainly pay more attention to what your body is saying, and to the people around you, but if you’re putting off cactus person vibes, learning to give a firm handshake and standing like Super Man won’t heal you.

Target the struggles within you first and maybe, just maybe, your body language will naturally open up on its own.

Power posing doesn't solve anything!
